What began as an initiative to break down silos and reconnect teams post-Covid has transformed into a smart, scalable way to nurture   at Boston Scientific.

In the wake of Covid, like many large organizations, Boston Scientific faced a challenge: how to rebuild connection across dispersed teams and functions. What started as an initiative to break silos has since evolved into a strategic approach to strengthening employee communities. 

With RandomCoffee, Boston Scientific has found a scalable, low-effort way to foster engagement and collaboration inside key internal networks, from DEI groups to functional teams working across borders: 

🔹 Society of Women Engineers (SWE): launched June 2023, thriving with 55-60% participation and ongoing engagement.

🔹 Project Lighthouse: live since Feb 2025, fostering collaboration across business divisions.

🔹 OnePD Networking: launched in March 2025, already at 61% opt-in, connecting Process Engineers globally.

The result: stronger relationships, more collaboration, and sustained engagement.
