Common questions about broadcasts

Which channels can I send a broadcast on?

Email, Slack or Microsoft Teams, chosen for each broadcast. Emails go out from your own verified company domain. On Slack, each person gets a direct message from the RandomCoffee app; on Microsoft Teams, a card in their chat with the RandomCoffee bot.

Who receives a broadcast?

By email, the people in the saved audiences you select, built on profile fields (including fields synced from your HRIS) or on program activity such as the number of meetings, with the recipient count shown before you send. On Slack or Microsoft Teams, the members of the channels or teams you pick where RandomCoffee is installed.

Do I need design skills to write a broadcast?

No. Each channel has its own editor with a live preview: drag-and-drop for emails, blocks for Slack messages and Teams cards (text, images, buttons, columns). Start an email from blank or a saved template, or ask the AI assistant for a first draft. Send a test to up to 10 colleagues before it goes out.

Can I schedule a broadcast?

Yes. Send it right away or at a specific date and time, in the timezone of your choice. Emails can also be spread over 1 to 24 hours.

What can I measure after sending?

For emails: delivered, opened, clicked, bounced and unsubscribed, as counts and rates, plus each recipient’s status and dates. For Slack and Microsoft Teams: who each message was sent to.

Who can send broadcasts?

Workspace admins. You choose which admins can create broadcasts, and you can limit an admin to the broadcasts they manage.
